Levon Helm, singer and drummer for that Band, died on April 19th in New You are able to of throat cancer. He was 71.

“Levon Helm died quietly at 1:30 this mid-day encircled by his buddies and bandmates,” Helm’s longtime guitarist Ray Campbell informs Moving Stone. “All his buddies have there been, also it appeared like Levon was awaiting them. 10 mins once they left we sitting there and that he just faded away. He made it happen with dignity. It had been on friday they thought it might happen within hrs, but he held on. It appears like he was Levon as much as the finish, doing the work the way in which he wanted to get it done. He loved us, we loved Levon Helm.”
